📢 August 2023 Market Update 📢
Here's what happened in August 2023. The average sale price is down from July in most markets, days on market are higher, less homes on the market and fewer of them sold.
As predicted, the market slowed for the summer months, which is typical. Some people took the time to enjoy summer holidays and some were preparing their homes to list in the Fall as the market typically picks back up in September when kids are back in school. We shall see if that happens this year.
The next interest rate announcement is September 6th. October 25th and December 6th are the last scheduled announcement dates for 2023. These annoucements always have an effect on the market and sellers need to be prepared to adjust accordingly.
