📢 June 2023 Market Update 📢
Here's what happened in June 2023! The average sale price is down from May in most markets, days on market are higher, more homes on the market to choose from and homes are selling slightly under their list price.
It's the time of year when things slow down for July & August. Some people are taking this time to enjoy summer holidays and some are preparing their homes to list in the Fall as the market typically pick back up in September when kids are back in school. The June 7th + 0.25% interest rate announcement saw the market slow down in some price points as announcements like these cause uncertainty. When people feel uncertain they typically put a pause on their plans to see what happens. Since that announcement, the number of price decreases in our markets has increased. There are talks of another rate increase this year so we'll see what the next announcement brings on July 12th.
