Mapping your options

What Exactly is a "1-Hour Radius of Belleville"? Mapping Your Options

Downsizing doesn’t mean you are restricted to the exact neighbourhood you live in now. Within just a one-hour drive of Belleville's city centre lies an incredible variety of distinct lifestyles, from lakeside luxury to quiet rural hamlets.

Let’s break down the geography of our local market. If you want urban convenience where you can walk to medical appointments and pharmacies, Belleville’s east or the expanding northeast communities offer fantastic single-story options. Move slightly west, and you hit Quinte West (Trenton), a proud military community with beautiful access to the Trent River, more attainable price points & a hospital. Further west is Brighton, famous for its high concentration of beautiful adult-lifestyle bungalows near Presqu'ile Provincial Park. If you want culture, world-class food, and a slower pace, Prince Edward County (Picton, Wellington) sits just across the bridge & Picton hosts a hospital. Head east toward Napanee for a historic, tight-knit waterfront vibe with a hospital, or head north along Highway 62 towards Stirling or Madoc or Highway 27 to Tweed if you still want a bit of space and privacy without the massive price tag of city living. A bit further to the West, you'll find adorable Campbellford, a charming community along the Trent-Severn Waterway in Trent Hills. It offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, quirky roadside attractions, and culinary treats and a hospital.

Grab a physical map or open Google Maps and draw a circle around Belleville. Spend a Saturday afternoon driving to one of these neighbouring towns. Have lunch at a local diner, walk the main street, and observe the pace of life. You might find your dream retirement destination is just 25 minutes down the road.

Want to match your lifestyle goals with the perfect local neighbourhood? Reach out, I'm happy to help find the right neighbourhood for you!

If you'd like to move further away (even to another province), I'd love to connect you with a local expert.
